Platform Content Registry
The Platform Content Registry is a centralized repository of structured, machine-readable data representing Kaltura's internal services. It gives different consumers access to API specs, SDK docs, and experience guides — using standard protocols, without exposing private codebases.
What's Inside
The registry holds standard-format artifacts that represent Kaltura's services:
| Artifact | What it represents |
|---|---|
| OpenAPI specs | REST API definitions |
| TypeDoc artifacts | TypeScript SDK documentation from source code |
| Experience guides | Markdown docs for SDK experiences |
Key benefit: Service teams publish structured data from their private codebases to the registry. Consumers — the docs site, AI agents, or any other tool — access this data through standard protocols without needing access to the source code itself.
How It Connects to the Docs Site
The docs build pulls content directly from the registry. When services update their artifacts, the documentation updates automatically on the next build — no manual work needed.
Source Types
